I’m a teacher of English to young refugees, immigrants, and others at an elementary school in Salt Lake County, Utah. My students primarily speak Spanish, but I’ve had students who speak many other languages and come from all over the world.  I’ve also taught Special Education to junior high (middle school) students and I’ve been a youth-in-custody mentor.

In College, I majored in German and History.  Last year (December, 2008) I finished up my Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction.

I’m married and have three young children.

I’ve lived most of my life in Utah, but I did intern in Washington DC, foreign exchange in Minden and Würzburg Germany, and an LDS Cambodian-Speaking mission in Philadelphia, PA.

I’ve played with the idea of blogging for a couple years now, but I’ve created and deleted my blog several times.
